Nurse

My name is Julie Eldridge, RN and I am so happy to be your School Nurse at M.H. Moore. I am a graduate of Cottey College and Stephen F. Austin State University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2004. Before becoming a School Nurse, I worked in various areas of nursing, including Post-Operative care, Outpatient Surgery and Case Management. I joined Fort Worth ISD in the Fall of 2015. I worked at another elementary school in Fort Worth ISD before joining the M.H. Moore staff in 2018. I am married to my husband, Bannon. We have one daughter, Addison, who is in the 8th grade, and two dogs, Sweet Caroline & Dixieland Delight. My family is originally from South Louisiana, where we love to cheer for the Louisiana State University Tigers! Geaux Tigers!!

Jesus Arizmendi

Counselor

I am the school counselor at MH Moore Elementary. This is my second year as a school counselor and my seventh year in education overall. I grew up in the Polytechnic Heights neighborhood of Fort Worth, and I am a product of FWISD public schools. I earned my MS in School Counseling at Texas Wesleyan University. I am proud to be part of the Mustang family and look forward to working with our students, staff, and parents. 

I believe healthy relationships are the key to wellness and success. My goal is to promote student success by helping students with their social, emotional, and academic needs. 

Laneta Spivey

Instructional Coach

Miss Laneta Spivey has been with FWISD for 20 years. During that time, she has been an English Language Arts Teacher, Reading Specialist, Lead Content Teacher, and Instructional Coach. Her favorite part of being in education is helping students develop a love of reading and writing. Miss Spivey holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master's degree in educational leadership from Texas Wesleyan University.

Miss Spivey has a wonderful dog named Simba and a number of nieces and nephews whom she adores. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Linda Abeyta

Librarian

Hello, I am Mrs. Abeyta.  I am M H Moore's librarian.  It has been said, "The school library is the heart of school."   The benefits of reading school library books include: supporting cognitive development, improving language skills, preparing for academic success, increasing concentration, improving imagination and cultivating a lifelong love of reading.
This is my 26th year in education.  I enjoyed teaching for over 20 years before I became a librarian.  My hobbies are dogs and traveling!

Hello, my name is Dayami Sijo, I have been working at M.H.Moore for the past 10 years. In my free time,I like to spend time with my family, travel, and listen to Latin Music.I enjoy every moment working with kids. That is my passion.

My name is Clevetez Ruiz.  This is my second year as a diagnostician at M.H. Moore and I love it! I am also a FWISD alumni.  I have been working in the education field for 12 years.  I love working with children and am looking forward in helping create educational plans for student success.

Hello mustangs, I’m Miss Wheeler!

I’ve been teaching in Fort Worth ISD since 2014. I have taught Kindergarten,  4th, and 5th grade math/science in the past. I am now a dyslexia teacher here at M. H. Moore! I love reading, working out, volunteering, teaching, and doing random acts of kindness! My favorite quote is, “I Can and I will!” because I believe we achieve more when we have faith in ourselves to grow!

Emily Cheekoti

Speech Therapist

Hello and ¡Hola! My name is Emily Cheekoti, and I am excited to return to MH Moore Elementary for my second year here as a speech-language pathologist! I was born in raised in Little Rock, Arkansas before coming to Texas for college. I completed my bachelor's degree (2018) and master's degree (2021) in speech pathology at Texas Christian University, and upon graduation, I was hired by Fort Worth ISD. I firmly believe in the human right to communication in all of its forms, and I love making a difference in my students’ lives though speech services. I have an intermediate fluency in Spanish, and I am beginning to learn Telugu as well. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, drawing, cooking, and traveling to new places around the country and the world. Go TCU Frogs and Go MH Moore Mustangs! 

Xiomara Torres

Bilingual Speech Therapist

My name is Xiomara Torres Ortiz. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I graduated from Universidad de Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus with a bachelor's degree in Special Education with a subspecialty in Behavior Disorders and then from Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Ciencias Medicas with a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. 

I moved to Texas in 2016 and have been working with FWISD as a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) since 2017. I have been in MH Moore since 2021, where I provide speech therapy services to bilingual students. I love being able to help children with a Speech Impairment improve their communication skills.

I love visiting my family in Puerto Rico and dancing salsa, merengue and bachata.
